The Spiritual Journey

“Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer
for them (my grandchildren) is for their salvation.”
Adapted from Romans 10:1

Even if we don’t have the opportunity to directly confront our grandchildren with the gospel of Jesus Christ we can pray for them.

Pray your grandchildren will understand and believe that Jesus loves them and died on the cross for their sins, and when presented with the opportunity invite Him into their hearts.

Pray they will develop a hunger for God’s Word, and follow Him wholeheartedly.

Pray they will grow in their relationship with the Lord so they may experience the blessing of walking with Him throughout their life and receive eternal life.

Pray for spiritual protection and to always remember that God will never leave them nor forsake them when they experience the struggles of life.

Never underestimate the power of your prayers in the lives of your grandchildren. When you tell them you are praying for them, it will be a loving reminder of your love for them.

They foreshadowed what the prophet Isaiah told of the coming One who would be brought “like a lamb to the slaughter”.
