“and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you…and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Bless, blessing, bless, bless, blessed.
I’ve heard from marketing professionals that if you want to make a point, you need to say something three times. Well, they must have made a great pitch to God before He wrote Genesis 12. In two verses He uses a form of “bless” no fewer than five times! His message must be of tantamount importance.
Did you notice a pattern? There are three distinct timeframes, your present, your past and your future. Most importantly, it all starts with God.
Have you ever taken the time to evaluate Genesis 12 as it pertains to your life? Do you recognize how God is blessing you today? Who in your past has blessed you abundantly? Who are you a blessing to?
As a grandparent, you have a tremendous impact on your grandchildren. In fact, studies show that your grandkids have better social skills and academic achievement as a result of your regular involvement in their lives.
Hmmm…that almost sounds Biblical—because you’ve blessed your grandkids through your intentional involvement, they are blessing others.
There is a group of children who are having trouble recognizing the blessing in their lives. Military kids, who have been affected by a parent’s deployment, struggle with feelings of fear and abandonment, sometimes going so far as thinking that they are cursed.
Will you bless these children? Through Military Kids GrandCamp the grandparents of these children are equipped with the best tools to be a blessing to their grandkids. When you sponsor a military child and one set of their grandparents at Military Kids GrandCamp, you provide them both with an experience which allows them to be blessed and become a blessing.
