September 7, 2014

Christian Grandparenting Network is asking grandparents all over the world to unite in prayer for their grandchildren on Sunday, September 7, 2014. This date is the official United States National Grandparents Day designated by a Senate proclamation signed by President Jimmy Carter in 1978.

Sign up to become a participant in the worldwide movement to urgently pray for our grandchildren on September 7, 2014.

“. . .   all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God . . .“ Acts 4:24 (NLT)

Thank you for joining thousands of grandparents around the world to stand in the gap for their grandchildren on the third annual Grandparents Day of Prayer on September 7, 2014. Just as Esther stood in the gap for her people, grandparents can stand in the gap with prayer for their grandchildren, not only on September 7 but everyday. As a thank you gift for linking arms and going to battle for the sake of the next generation and making Grandparents Day of Prayer a high priority you will receive an email with download link to a copy of an excerpt from my book on prayer entitled Grandparenting with a Purpose: Effective Ways to Pray for Your Grandchildren. Entitled, Communicate Your Faith, I hope you will find this a useful tool in your own prayer life.

We also need your help to promote this important event calling grandparents to participate in prayer for their grandchildren in our post-Christian era. Will you check out the resources in the right sidebar for suggestions to see how you can help us promote and organize this event in your church or community?

The Bread That Lasts Forever

Bread baking is one of my favorite pastimes. It began when my mother first introduced me to the art of yeasted breadmaking. Back then, I had to climb up onto a chair to reach the counter. I loved standing there with my mother’s arms wrapped around me while she pressed...
