Pray For Grandparents With Broken Hearts

by | Feb 13, 2010 | 0 comments

Let’s pray for the grandparents whose grandchildren are . . .

Extremely or terminally ill

In drug recovery

In rebellion

Posted as “missing children”

Flirting with the world

Not in Sunday School

Not walking in truth

Do not live in homes that honor Christ as Savior

In prison

In a war zone

In a “far country”

Hooked on porn

Selfish and/or arrogant

Not in church

Dishonoring their parents

Regularly neglected or abused in any way

Almighty and gracious God, hear our prayers for grandparents all over

this world who are grieving for their grandchildren.

Remind them, O Lord, of Your eagerness to daily bear their burdens.

Bring each grandchild “home” to Jesus, as Redeemer, Lord, Provider and Sustainer.

In Christ’s great Name, Amen.

6 Ways to Love a Grandchild In College

It’s the time of year when college-aged grandchildren are shopping for dorm room or apartment supplies as they prepare to begin a new adventure away from the home in which they grew up. No longer “children” but not yet independent adults. Grandparents must adjust their methods of connection with those I lovingly refer to as “chronological adults.”
