GRANDMA IS PRAYING PROVERBS FOR ME

by | Dec 22, 2010 | 0 comments

“A fool spurns his father’s discipline,
But whoever heeds correction shows prudence.”
?Proverbs 15:5

Father, please encourage my grandchild’s parents
to seek You for direction and guidance in their home.
Allow them to convey love and discipline in the Spirit of Christ.
I pray that my grandchild would be receptive to their teaching.
Help him to wisely accept godly correction,
then help him to grow spiritually as a result.

Application: Tell your grandchild’s parents that you are praying for them and that you appreciate the difficulty of bringing up children in this sinful world. Be sure to let your grandchild know that you are praying for his parents to have wisdom to lead their family in a way that is pleasing to God.

This prayer suggestion is used by permission from “My Grandmother is. . . praying for me” by Kathryn March, Pamela Ferris, and Susan Kelton. They are three ordinary grandmothers desiring to pray for the next generation to become men and women of strong character and great faith. They have a verse from the Proverbs, a prayer for the verse and an application for each day of the year. I have found the book an excellent resource for praying from my grandchildren, especially for character development. You may order the book from their website:  www.mygrandmotheris.com.
