God’s Promise to Answer Prayers

by | Jul 28, 2025 | 0 comments

The basic definition of prayer is “talking to God” and is the communication of our soul with the Lord who created us. God’s promise to hear and answer our prayers is woven throughout the Bible. 1 Peter 3:12 gives us this great assurance, “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer.” God says when we pray, he will answer. While the way he answers may not always be what we expect, we can be assured that his answers are always for our good and in line with his will. God’s ways are often mysterious and beyond our full understanding, but, through the power of prayer, we can receive the blessings he has in store for us.

“Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

God wants us to call on him so that he can answer our prayers. He also wants to share with us incredible blessings that we might otherwise have missed had we not reached out to him. When we take his Word by faith and trust he is listening, he is faithful to respond. God’s wisdom far exceeds our own, and we must trust that his answers are the best possible solution.

“Before they call I will answer, while they are still speaking I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:24

Isaiah 65:24 is a promise that is encouraging for us today. God promises many things to those that seek him and we can be comforted by the assurance that our prayers are not in vain. God hears us even before we call, giving proof of his never-ending love for us.

Pray

Holy Father,

Blessed are you, Lord, for your faithfulness in hearing and answering my prayers. I am blessed with your presence, wisdom, and guidance in my life. As I reach out to you in faith, I trust you hear my prayers and are working in my life even when I don’t see it. Thank you for the blessings you have already given me and for the answered prayers to come.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
