GOD’S LINE IS NEVER BUSY

This last week in my Bible study we were studying about the veil in the temple torn from the top to the bottom when Jesus died on the cross for our sins giving us  access to the Holiest of Holy in the temple. As a result, we have the privilege to go boldly, with confidence to God with our thanks and petitions.

My friend shared about how different it is for us when we try to call our Doctor or a business. We finally locate the telephone number, push the right buttons for their number, we get a recording saying that we are to select one of several numbers, then we are to select one of several other numbers, then we are placed on hold and listen to some music, which doesn’t seem very lovely by this point. Sometimes when we make a call our call does not fit the listed category we are to select. It is often hard to get a real person on the line or our call goes to voice mail.

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
There we will receive his mercy,
and we will find grace to help us when we need it”
Hebrews 4:16 (NLT).

God is waiting for us to come to Him with our needs. We do not have to wait in the order the call was received because his line is never busy. He is standing by waiting for us to call on Him. God has given grandparents the privilege to be the prayer warriors, cheerleaders, and encouragers for their grandchildren. Take your desires and petitions for your family boldly with confidence to the throne laying them at the feet of Jesus.

Come boldly before the Lord with your requests for our children and grandchildren.

Wait patiently as you wait upon Him.

Ask God how He wants to use you to minister to your children and grandchildren.

6 Ways to Love a Grandchild In College

It’s the time of year when college-aged grandchildren are shopping for dorm room or apartment supplies as they prepare to begin a new adventure away from the home in which they grew up. No longer “children” but not yet independent adults. Grandparents must adjust their methods of connection with those I lovingly refer to as “chronological adults.”
