DISOBEDIENCE BRING CONSEQUENCE

by | May 7, 2011 | 0 comments

Moses was God’s choice to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. As they were traveling in the desert, he put up with a lot of grumbling and complaining and became weary of the stiff-necked Israelites during that time. He persevered and followed God’s direction most of the time while wandering in the desert for 40 years.

When the Israelites kept grumbling about the lack of water he did become anger and did not exactly follow God’s direction. He struck the rock with his staff instead of speaking to the rock as God told me. As a result, of his disobedience Moses did not get to enter Canaan, the Promised Land. Moses did experience consequences for his disobedience, however, God did let him go to the top of the mountain and let him see the Promised Land.

We read in Deuteronomy 34:10-12, “There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face. The Lord sent him to perform all the miraculous signs and wonders in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, and all his servants, and his entire land. With mighty power, Moses performed terrifying acts in the sight of all Israel.” (NLT)

Pray your grandchildren will be taught God’s Word so they can know God’s instructions for living their lives. Even your younger grandchildren can follow God’s instructions by obeying their parents, being truthful, and kind to their family members and friends.

Pray your grandchildren will have a personal relationship with God, living in obedience as Moses, experiencing God’s mighty power.  Disobedience always brings a consequence.

6 Ways to Love a Grandchild In College

It’s the time of year when college-aged grandchildren are shopping for dorm room or apartment supplies as they prepare to begin a new adventure away from the home in which they grew up. No longer “children” but not yet independent adults. Grandparents must adjust their methods of connection with those I lovingly refer to as “chronological adults.”
