My Grandma Is Praying Proverbs 16:3 For Me

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
And your plans will succeed.” (Proverbs 16:3)

Lord, this proverb tells us we need to place our plans in Your hands
in order to be successful. I pray that my grandchild
would be deliberate in seeking You to direct his/her paths.
Help him/her to be a good steward of his/her time and talents,
as he trusts You for the results.
I am so grateful that You know what is best for him/her.

Application: Memorize Romans 8:28 together: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Share the meaning of his/her verse. Even when our plans do not work out the way, we think they should, God will bring good in “all things.”

This prayer suggestion is used by permission from “My Grandmother is. . . praying for me” by Kathryn March, Pamela Ferris, and Susan Kelton. They are three ordinary grandmothers desiring to pray for the next generation to become men and women of strong character and great faith. They give a verse from the Proverbs, a prayer for the verse and an application for each day of the year. I have found the book an excellent resource for praying from my grandchildren, especially for character development. The book is available from their website:  www.mygrandmotheris.com.
