CERTAIN PREDICTIONS FOR 2011

by | Jan 2, 2011 | 0 comments

Whether attempting to predict tomorrow’s weather accurately or forecasting short-term and long-term financial markets, few predictions men make can be depended upon. But there are some predictions that are certain—you can take it to the bank that these will still be as certain in 2011 as they always have been. Here are seven predictions your can count on being certain…

1. God IS and will still be on the throne (Psalm 46:10; 103:19)

2. His compassions will never fail; they will still be new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23)

3. His grace will still be sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9)

4. God’s promises will still be true (Numbers 23:19; Psalm 145:13)

5. God will still be faithful and good (Psalm 27:13; Romans 3:3)

6. His blood will still have the power to forgive sins and justify for eternity (Ephesians 1:7; 2:13; Romans 5:9-10)

7. His love for you will still be an everlasting, unfailing love (Psalm 52:8; Jeremiah 31:3)

Now, if these things are certain, we do not need to fear or worry as we enter 2011, even in the face of so much that is uncertain in our world. Because these seven things are certain, we can say with the Psalmist, “I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” (Ps. 27:13-14)

What a powerful and transformational impact we might yet have on our children and grandchildren if we rest in these certain truths. May God bless you and keep you in His peace throughout this New Year!

Bridging the Scriptural Gap for Your Grandchildren

Bridging the scriptural gap does not mean preaching at grandchildren or forcing faith into every conversation. It means standing in the space between biblical truth and everyday life, helping children connect God’s Word to their questions, fears, hopes, and daily experiences.

Helping Grandchildren Discern Truth From Lies

Recently, I programmed my phone’s GPS to guide me to a specific location, and somehow I ended up with two AI women giving me directions at the same time. To make things more confusing, they weren’t giving me the same directions. This experience reminds us that many “voices” compete for our grandchildren’s attention. Some voices impart truth; others don’t.
