    Our culture is very me-centered and entitled. Our grandchildren are bombarded by advertisements encouraging instant gratification and discontentment. While there is nothing wrong with admitting to having longings or desires, grandparents can contribute to the development of a contented and grateful heart in their grandchildren.

    When we think of protection, we often associate it with physical safety during times of hardships, illnesses, or when in danger. However, God doesn’t guarantee that we will never know pain, loss or physical harm. In the New Testament, God’s promise to believers is spiritual protection.
