Grandparents Day of Prayer-36 Days and Counting

by | Jul 27, 2012 | 0 comments

The greatest gift you can give your grandchildren
is the legacy of a praying grandparent.

Only 36 days left until the Grandparents Day of Prayer on September 9, which will be here soon. Have you set aside that date to meet with grandparents in your church or to invite other grandparents into your home to pray for your grandchildren.

Our grandchildren are living in a desperate moral and spiritual climate navigating in a world hostile to truth. Satan has launched an aggressive attack on all fronts using media, technology, education, social influences and political pressures to desensitize and cloud the boundaries of truth and righteousness that hold nations and families together. Perhaps at no other time in our history is a call to prayer more urgently required than it is today for our grandchildren.

Grandparents are invited to stand in the gap together for their grandchildren as Esther stood in the gap for her people in a desperate time. The call is being issued for prayer warriors to link arms and go to battle for the sake of the next generation today.

Go to www.christiangrandparenting.net/day-of-prayer.html to sign up indicating your participation and for more information about Grandparents Day of Prayer. You still have time to order brochures or small invitations from our website. We also have small cards that your children’s leader at church can give to the children to give to their grandparents to remind them to pray specifically for them on September 9.

February warms our hearts with love and romance. Children decorate shoe boxes with tissue paper and candied hearts in hopes of receiving a message from their secret admirer. Women dream about suitors presenting them with diamond rings, while married couples, smiling to one another, reminisce about their early days of courtship. What is it about February that makes it different from the rest? Valentine’s Day, of course!

Unintentional Consequences of Our Words

Unintentional Consequences of Our Words

We’ve all heard the saying, “Actions speak louder than words,” and in many ways, that’s true. However, our words have power—they speak loudly and can have a far-reaching impact. Though we try to speak with care, even the best of intentions can sometimes lead to unintended consequences.

Another Year Marked Off the Calendar

Another Year Marked Off the Calendar

Do you find yourself struggling to remember to write the date of the new year after the first of January? Does each year seem to pass faster the older you get? When grandparents feel the years fleeting, they may feel as though their future is very limited. But in God’s economy and timeline, we need to live with the goal of making the most of each day we’re given.
