A Blessing for Mom

by | May 12, 2012 | 0 comments

“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.’”
Proverbs 31:28-29

For the mother who is worthy of honor and praise, those mothers who have built their homes with wisdom and love, I hope this Blessing for Mom adequately expresses your heart on this Mother’s Day. If it does, say it…

Mother,

You have live your life as a conduit of blessing in our home;
Now, may the Lord bless you and keep you strong in His strength that you may not grow weary or discouraged in the many thankless things you do so well;

You have been a source of radiant sunshine in our home;
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and may you feel His smile upon you for the selfless way you have loved and nurtured those to whom you have given birth;

You have selflessly served and worked to make our home a sanctuary of love, hope and peace—a place where we can feel safe;
May the Lord fill you with His peace and hope knowing that He is your dwelling place, your Refuge where your soul finds rest;

You have shown us what it means to delight in the things of the Lord and walk in His righteousness;
May the Lord be gracious to you and fill you with joy and gladness because your children walk in the truth;

You have diligently and sacrificially watched over the affairs of our home and made it a place where we are accepted and valued;
May the Lord turn His face toward you giving you His undivided attention, and may He remind you in this moment how precious, cherished and loved you are.

May the Lord bless you and extend His favor to you as you have done with your children, and may He bless you a hundredfold more than you have blessed us! We love you and rise up to call you BLESSED!
