“An anxious heart weighs a man down,
But a kind word cheers him up.”
? Proverbs 12:25
Lord, I pray that my grandchild will have the opportunity
to minister to friends who are hurting, anxious,
or distraught. Please teach them how to speak words full
of grace and encouragement. Give them the wisdom to
know how to cheer others through Your Word.
And, in turn, Lord, when they are anxious or overwhelmed
by circumstances, please bring people into their lives
who will offer hope and support and remind them to lean on You.
Application: Help your grandchild memorize this proverb so they can use “a kind word” to help themselves and others in difficult times.
This prayer suggestion is used by permission from “My Grandmother is. . . praying for me” by Kathryn March, Pamela Ferris, and Susan Kelton. I have found the book an excellent resource for praying from my grandchildren, especially for character development. You may order the book from their website: www.mygrandmotheris.com.
We’d like to hear from you…
