Rescue The Grandchildren

by | Apr 4, 2010 | 0 comments

Today, our grandchildren are growing up in unstable, tumultuous times in our world and culture.  Naturally, a father would want to rescue his child from danger if that child was running into the street.  Spiritually, Jesus rescued us and paid the price for our sins so we could have a personal relationship with him.

I want to challenge you as grandparents to stand in the gap and pray intentionally for protection from the enemy on behalf of your grandchildren. We have the privilege to co-partner with God to rescue them from the dangers of the world.

Jesus told the disciples “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” God has placed your grandchildren in our sphere of influence for such a time as this. Let’s pray and live so as to not hinder the precious grandchildren God has given us from coming to faith in Christ.

Dear Father, guard the hearts of my grandchildren for it
is the fountain of their life.?
Help them to recognize the deception of the enemy, standing strong in their faith
so they will be able to resist the enemy. In Jesus Name.

Join with other grandparents to unite in prayer to pray for our dear grandchildren. Check out the “Grandparents@Prayer” link on our website. I will be happy to send you guidelines to get a “Grandparents@Prayer” intercessory group started in your area.

Discovering Jesus – The Lamb of God

During biblical times in the Jewish religious life and sacrificial system, lambs were sacrificed daily to atone for the sins of the people. The lambs used in these sacrifices had to be spotless, without blemish or defects as they symbolized perfect, blameless purity. They foreshadowed what the prophet Isaiah told of the coming One who would be brought “like a lamb to the slaughter”.
