Honoring Our Veterans

by | Nov 3, 2008 | 0 comments

Since Veteran’s Day is approaching share with your grandchildren about the many people, who have sacrificed for the freedoms our country enjoys. Tell them about the members of your family that have served in the military. If your grandchildren know someone who is deployed in the military now, encourage them to pray for that person by name and their family.

In I Timothy 6:18 we read that we are “to do good, to be rich in good works, to be ready to impart, willing to communicate.” One of the ways we can teach our grandchildren to do good and be rich in good works is by praying for the men and women who serve us in the military and reach out to their families with kindness.
