“One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4
Have you thought about the privilege and responsibility you have to pass on your spiritual legacy to your children, grandchildren, and future generations?
In her book, Legacy of Prayer, Jennifer Kennedy Dean writes, “God defines Himself to one generation in terms of the previous generation.” When God speaks to our children and grandchildren, it would be wonderful if they could remember how they have observed how we placed our trust and obedience to Him. Our walk with the Lord can give strength and confidence to our family.
As grandparents, we are the spiritual link to our children, grandchildren, and future generations. If you are a first generation believer then you have the honor of beginning a spiritual legacy for future generations.
Thank God, for the privilege you have to lead your family spiritually.
Ask God to show you how to exhibit His steadfast love to your loved ones.
Share with your family how the God of your mountains is also the God of your valleys when you face difficulties.
